Opinions. What are the best broadway plays, events, etc.?

This is for New York. Just wanting an opinion on you're reviews on the best shows. Could be anything, broadway, opera, etc. Wanting to purchase two tickets for next week hopefully. Thanks so much!

Opinions. What are the best broadway plays, events, etc.?performing art center

I can recommend Wicked. I would skip The Drowsy Chaperone. Curtains was very good. I enjoyed Mama Mia. Spamalot was fun, whether you're a Monty Python fan or not. I don't see opera too often, but I live a few blocks from Lincoln Center, and I can't remember what they have on stage right now.

Opinions. What are the best broadway plays, events, etc.?theatre tickets opera theater

Broadway - November with Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf - funniest play I've seen in weels

Opera (Met). Carmen - If you've never seen go - so much more than Broadway in every way - the Metropolitan Opera House itself is worth the trip.

Manon Lescaut - a chance to see to great singers Karita Mattila and Marcello Giordani and the great American conductor James Levine

Il Barbiere di Siviglia: One of the most fun nights in the theater in any genre.

note: Don't worry about prices: seats are available at $15 and $26 and you can hear great from up there!
DEFINITELY We Will Rock You, the musical based on Queen songs. In my opinion, it is, and probably always will be, the best production I've ever seen. I saw it on the West End in London, but I doubt it will be much different from the American version. I also recommend Wicked, based on the life story of the wicked witch of the west from Wizard of Oz. However, if you were planning to see both these shows, I'd go see Wicked first, as, for me, We Will Rock You overshadowed Wicked, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have...

As for operas, Phantom of the Opera is an obvious must-see

:)
If you haven't seen it yet I woudl definetly go to see The Lion King there is so much in that. (I hear it is the most expensive brouadway production)
