What seats do you reccomend for Broadway shows? Ochestra, Front Mezzanine, Rear Mezzanine?

We are wanting to buy tickets for Phantom of the Opera. I have no idea if it's worth paying $30 more a ticket to sit in the ochestra or front mezzanine. Can somebody give me advice?

Can you sit so far back that you actually have to wear binoculars to see or can you see the stage from everywhere?

I've been to Phantom.

Once this strike thing gets resolved....you will WANT to get the orchestra seats. Somewhere in the first 10 rows at the VERY center.

I won't give the storyline away but TRUST ME....you will want to be seated in that area! :) VERY COOL!

Tony S is absolutely right!

i've also been to Phantom and you can trust his recommendation!
one third of the way back from the stage in the center of the theater is best acoustically. usually the center of the 8th row. you can sit far enough away that you need binoculars, called "opera glasses".
Right now, lets hope for a show!!!!
